manufacturing-related issues. He founded Hasek Communications in October
2001.
Hasek began his communications career in 1984 when he worked as the editor
of a small northern Ohio newspaper. His career in magazine journalism
began in 1989 when he was hired to work as an editor with Hotel & Motel

magazine, a Penton Media publication. While at Penton, he managed two of

He returned to H&MM in September 2000 to work as the on-line

content to the website, wrote news and helped increase the number of site
visitors from 1,300 per week in October 2000 to 9,000 per week in
September 2001.
As online editor-in-chief for H&MM, Hasek managed and developed a

Testimonials
"We have a unique company that is focused on two
entirely different industries—lodging and cable. In 2003, as a one
man marketing department in a growing company, I had quickly become
overwhelmed with work. Glenn was recommended to me as someone who
might help, and who had many years in the hospitality industry. We
started slow with him working on some case studies and press releases
for the lodging side of our business. In a matter of just a few short
months, Glenn was getting our name mentioned in several of the top
industry publications. Those leads have resulted in sales today.
Because of that success, we asked Glenn to begin doing
work on the cable side of the house. Since that time we have added
additional work—customer newsletters, advertising assistance, white
papers, you name it. Glenn has helped give me time to devote to sales
initiatives. Glenn honestly does enough work that I almost think of
him as our 26th employee—dedicated to go the extra mile each and
every time."
Mark Sokol
Former Director of Product Marketing
Mintek Mobile Data Solutions

"Glenn Hasek has been instrumental in gaining
exposure for my company. I have been particularly impressed with
Glenn's writing skills and his ability to assist me in developing the
appropriate messages for my target audience. Glenn has proven time and
time again that he is able to be flexible, meet deadlines and
ultimately prepare a press release that will capture the attention of
the people we are striving to reach. I am grateful that I have had the
opportunity to work with Glenn and am confident he can be a positive
asset to other companies as well."
Adam Isrow
Executive Vice President
GoConcierge.net

"I highly recommend Glenn Hasek as a writer, editor and
project manager. During his time at IndustryWeek, he successfully
tackled challenging writing assignments and managed two of the
publication's most successful global projects—the IndustryWeek 1000
and IndustryWeek's 100 Best-Managed Companies."
Pat Panchak
Former Editor-In-Chief
IndustryWeek

“Glenn Hasek demonstrated immense attention to
detail on any project he tackled while at Hotel & Motel Management. He
was instrumental in developing the cataloging and categorizing system
currently employed on H&MM's e-Directory website.”
Mike Malley
Former Publisher
Hotel & Motel Management

“I rely on Glenn Hasek as a regular contributor to
Ohio Magazine. He has become our writer of choice for articles on the
Amish people and culture, but he can handle a variety of assignments,
including a recent piece on philanthropy and planned giving. His
writing is clear and direct, and his articles come in clean and on
time. I also worked with Glenn at a national business magazine, where
his strengths as a project manager were evident. He handled the
details of complicated research and writing with aplomb.”
Vivian Pospisil
Managing Editor
Ohio Magazine

"I receive a number of unsolicited phone inquiries
every single week. An obvious question I ask (after I find out their
needs) is, 'How did you hear about us?' The caller often will refer to
an article he read in one of the trade publications. It is because of
the work of Glenn Hasek that Broadband Hospitality is mentioned in
those publications. Not all of these inquiries turn into an order but
they are definitely people that I would not even have an opportunity
to talk to if they had not read about us and called."
Edward W. Santor
Broadband Hospitality

"I have worked with Glenn Hasek at two different
publishing venues and on countless projects, and he always brought a
high degree of professionalism, thoroughness, creativity and
efficiency to any assignment that he tackled."
George Taninecz

"Glenn was an integral part of our team at
IndustryWeek. His hard work and creativity were vital to our success."
